Ukraine rejected Belarus's National Day wishes

 

Ukrainian officials rejected President Belarus's National Day greeting, criticizing this as a mocking message.

In the message of Ukraine's independence, President Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on August 24 wishes the people of Ukraine peaceful, tolerant, brave, strength and success in restoring a good life.

I believe that today's disputes will not destroy the foundation of a good and sincere neighboring relationship between the people of the two countries for centuries, President Lukashenko said.

However, Ukraino President Mykhailo Podolyak's adviser rejected President Belarus's greetings, saying that Lukashenko believed that the world did not see him participating in behavior against Ukraine.

That is why he was mocking that we hope we have a peaceful sky, while allowing the missile to ambush us, Mr. Podolyak announced.
