Knowing the number of people I can trust is limited. Not uncommon for an heir to the key of Enclave. I should understand it. Be used to it. Expect it. But somehow I’m still blindsided when I find I’ve dedicated my life to a lie. To what extent is the proof of our sins buried? I’m not sure. Only as more time passes, I’m worried I’ll never learn fact from fiction. It’s why I’m taking my place within our brotherhood. Not out of obligation, but as a cover to get what I desperately need.

These Vile Secrets, Enclave book 1 by @authorcericci …………. "I could be your favorite mistake, baby." ………… She did it again! You may laugh, turn red, 🥵, say WTF and even cry reading this! I wasn’t a huge fan of Roman after River and Rains story but I fell in love with him and Hale in this book! The push and pull was palpable and the ending will have you impatiently waiting for the next book! ………….. “Because he’s the fire, the heat and embers that ignite a blaze sure to send us both up in smoke.” …………… One thing is for sure, @authorcericci knows how write MM romance! This book is steamy and you will fall in love with these characters! This book picks up 2 years after the ending of River and Rains story, Roman is still struggling to move on but has been doing everything he can to get answers on the Enclaves involvement with Rain’s past. He starts his mentorship to become CEO under the very hot and unattainable Hale, a surprise Roman did not see coming. Hale is full of secrets and mystery and they both push each other to their limits. It’s a wild ride that ends with a shocker! …………… “Only You” “Always You” …………… Hands down a great start to the series and I’m excited to see how the other characters will unfold in the Enclave! I have know don’t that these men will keep us on our toes!
Roman!
We got to know Roman in the "River of Rain" series and honestly? We all kinda loved him! And most definitely intrigued. Roman seemed to be such a strong, direct and passionate man who was caught up in such a freaky secret world where he simply had no choice for the trajectory of his life. Now Roman has his own book!! And it was sooo good!!! But, for me... I found certain scenes difficult to read, not to give too much away but anything more then two is such a crowd. It felt like nothing was sacred only because we know about the sad unrequited love Rome was dealing with before this book. (I mean, wasn't it time he had someone all for HIM alone?) Not to mention the particular blaze` treatment or reactions to certain... eh hemm... "crimes" nope ... not a one bad reaction... but it didn't detract at all from the story in my view. The reality of Roman's life was sadly inescapable, and was emotional to read about. My overall review is that it was a genuinely solid read. My personal favorite: the shout out to MBTI (which no one can really know unless you study the cognitive functions and forget the letters :P)
These two are a category 5 storm and so much better for it! This a ride you want to go on...
Holy crap! I have no chill. I knew I was going to fall in love hard with Ro. I was already halfway there before I even started this book! What I wasn’t counting on was the storm that is Hale!! HOLY CRAP! Can I say it again? Finding someone who can finally give as good as he gets with Roman made my fangirl heart explode with happiness. These two together are a perfect storm, and I willingly went along for the ride. The secrets and deceptions and machinations in this one are something I expected, but not on this level. Prepare yourself for the bumpy ride ahead and strap in! It’s rough, but steamy and so worth it!

The writing was fantastic just like her other two books! After reading The River of Rain Duet and finding out that we were going to be getting a book with Roman's story I wasn't sure how we would like him after everything that happened. Just know that C.E. Ricci did a hell of a good job redeeming his character. I love him so much even though I disliked him in the other books. What I adored most about Roman is the way he didn't ever give up on Hale (his love interest) he constantly wore his heart on his sleeves even though he knew it would get him into trouble. Hale was the opposite he was too closed off which was painful to read at times, but I still loved him. I highly recommend reading this book! It had some beautiful, heartbreaking and spicy moments! - I was suppose to receive an eARC , but I never received it since I had to exchange my kindle for a new one. I apologize for the delay of the review.

I'm so excited for this series! There's a lot of angst and mystery. Roman was not a guy I was loving after reading The River and Rain duet, but he quickly grew on me and redeemed himself. Roman and Hale together are fire...but not without some heartbreak along the way. I think this whole series is going to build off the next and, therefore, we're not going to get HEAs right off. We're going to have to be okay with HFNs until the conclusion. Which I'm okay with, but I hope to get updates on Roman and Hale in Ash's book. Highly recommend!
An absolute journey.
I went into TVS completely blind to CE Ricci’s writing style and previous books so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was blown away. Roman is such a strong presence from the first moment you’re in his head. I laughed. I hurt for him. Hale was so interesting...you want to slap him but you also want him to put you on your knees. Overall, this story was an adventure and I’m so excited for more of this world. CE Ricci is absolutely a one click author for me going forward.
She did it again!
God, CE Ricci did it again! Made me cry over her book. I never thought I'd feel sorry for Roman, but here we are! This story is about the fact that you should not give up the hope of meeting your love. I'm so happy that Roman and Hale are doing well! I love the twisted plot. Ricci's signature style!!! And THANK YOU SO MUCH for cameo!! I wept tears of happiness ❤️❤️❤️ The book is worth every penny!!
Intense doesn't come close
Chest pain, sweating, nausea ... so invested in these people and their story that I really thought I wouldn't make it through. Incredible writing, world and character building. If I ever go to Boston, I expect to find the bar. Too real.
Holy Crap
Just when I think CE Ricci can't out do herself, she comes to bat and hits it out of the part. The chemistry between these two is electric. The story twisted and compelling. I loved every word.

(4.5 star) Roman’s life changed when he watched the man he loved give up almost everything for someone else. (River and Rain’s story) He vowed never to fall in love again. Until he met Hale. This sexy confident guy who meets him at a bar and is upfront with what he wants from him. Little did they know that night was only the beginning of their downfall. Roman has always had things handed to him and never really had to work at getting what he wanted. Hale on the other hand is completely opposite and dislikes Roman for that. Forced together for a year Hale has to teach Roman how to be CFO of a multi billion dollar company. Tension is high as more and more boundaries are crossed and lines are blurred. Yet Roman and Hale has secrets that can destroy everything they are working towards. Who is Hale Calloway? Can Roman finally get his head straight long enough to finish what he started two years ago? When secrets are finally revealed who will be the last man standing? And who will meet their ultimate fall? First and foremost I would like to say, I did NOT like Roman when starting this book. (You have to read River of Rain duet to understand) I did not think he was redeemable in my eyes and yet Ce Ricci has done the unthinkable. Oh how I love a tortured soul and Roman is tortured. My heart broke for him! Hale was a complete mystery until I got towards the end. I liked Hale, there was something about him that I just couldn’t dislike. Maybe it was because they both lived a childhood that was not sunshine and roses. They understood each other in ways many others failed to see. I gave this story 4.5 stars because I feel like the Enclave wasn’t talked about much. Maybe it’s just me but I expected or hoped to learn more about who they are and what they have done. Of all the brothers it seemed like Roman would be the one to show us who Enclave is and what their reach is. With all this said I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
